The Bass Museum of Art is dedicating an entire season to Jack Pierson, one of the most influential figures in American photography and conceptual art. The Miami Years is the first exhibition to explore the transformative and lasting impact that the city of Miami has had on the artist's life and work since his first visit in 1984.
Through a journey that unites photography, sculpture, and installations, the exhibition explores the central themes of Pierson's work: desire, memory, loss, and the aesthetics of queer and bohemian everyday life, closely tied to the unique energy of South Beach.
