Vision and structure in the language of Metarealism
“AGN S 17” (2017) by Alberto Gallingani belongs to the mature phase of his research, characterized by the fusion of formal rigor and material intensity. The work presents a solid visual construction, in which the pictorial gesture unfolds within a controlled structure.
Executed in acrylic on canvas, the composition develops through layered chromatic fields and gestural interventions that generate a dynamic and articulated surface. The interaction between geometric elements and more fluid components creates a balance between order and expressive tension.
The work is part of the artist’s Metarealism, in which Gallingani explores the relationship between rational construction and visual impulse, transforming the pictorial surface into a space of tension between structure and perception.
