Sign-based balance and material stratification
“AGN S 18” (2018) represents a further development in Alberto Gallingani’s research, where the dialogue between geometry and gesture becomes more intense. The work unfolds a tension between structure and impulse, creating a visual field in which controlled elements and painterly interventions coexist.
Executed in acrylic on canvas, the composition develops through layered chromatic fields and signs emerging from the surface, generating both visual and perceptual depth. The more contained format concentrates attention on the material quality and the interaction between the different elements of the painting.
Within the framework of Metarealism, Gallingani continues his investigation into the relationship between rational construction and expressive dimension, maintaining a balance between order and dynamic tension.
