Interior visions and metaphysical horizons
"Le salon bleu" (2025) continues Mickaël Doucet's investigation into the representation of interiors as spaces of temporal suspension. In this work, the geometric rigor of the room — defined by indigo blue walls — dialogues with the boundless opening of the marine landscape. The presence of symbolic elements such as the bonsai, sculptures, and the "painting within a painting" transforms the domestic environment into a temple of memory and refined collecting.
